Tercon has completed what is believed to be the largest single concrete pour in Bristol.

Working with main contractor Galliford Try at the new Airbus Wing Integration Centre in Filton, Bristol, Tercon successfully completed the 1,450m3 “Strongfloor” concrete slab to the 2m deep floor in a continuous 24 hour pour to ensure it was free from cold joints.

The ‘Strongfloor’ slab is the first of its type in Europe and one of only four in the world.

This will allow Airbus at Filton to become a world-leading hub for aeroplane wing design and testing.
